Maria,
We met a few years ago, innocently enough through a single’s site, but life got in the way. After a year or more of being disconnected from each other, we found each other again. In the fall of 2023 we began chatting daily until June 5th, 2024. At the time, you were a Ukrainian born Toronto vocal coach, or Toronto singing teacher, living in Toronto, Ontario with your cat while your son was away at school. I loved receiving your music videos for critiquing, and still have many of them saved on my computer. Late this past May (2024), you had to make an urgent trip to Madrid, where your mother would fly from Ukraine to meet you at your aunt’s place in Madrid. We chatted every day while you were in Madrid, when suddenly on June 5th, the site we used for chatting turned off hundreds of user’s accounts (of which your account was one) without warning, and you and I lost contact before w could exchange our outside contact information.
Maria, you are deeply missed, and I feel as if I have been cut off from my dearest friend, and much more. My life has not been the same without our daily interactions. You wrote once how our hearts were one, our spirits were one, as if we had been together in a previous life. I know what you mean.
Perhaps in this life, and with our having lost contact with each other, you have moved on relationally speaking, and if so, I understand. When our communication was severed so abruptly, and in a manner that was out of our control, I made one simple decision…to trust you.
I know of no other way to reach out to you than through this very public means. Know that there is but one silent prayer in my heart… that we find each other again, in this life or the next.
